The entrance to the Royal Family Suite with its private Spa, “La Greppia”, is set into the walled enclosure surrounding the inner courtyard of the Borgo, just a few steps away from the medieval Taverna. Its name stems from the ancient use of the first of the three floors that make up the suite: in fact the place where the private SPA is situated, with its sauna and hydromassage jacuzzi bath, was once the home of the “greppia”, the ancient rack used by the local inhabitants for fodder.

The big planks of solid oak wood, once used to contain fodder, are still visible today, but are now used to provide the room for massage and wellness treatments. The “Greppia” is equipped with a bathroom on all three floors plus a living area and two double bedrooms. The windows look out  onto the surrounding hills and is a perfect solution for large family groups, or couples and their friends who would like to be able to count on a certain amount of privacy while sharing the experience of staying together in a hotel.
